Autovest’s aim is to invest in and grow established and profitable businesses within the automotive industry. Our company was formed in September 2007 and comprises a range of market leading automotive accessories businesses and brands. We endeavour to meet our customer’s requirements by providing a unique “one stop” accessories shop offering a range of quality products. By meeting our customer’s needs, we are building a successful and sustainable business for the benefit of all our stakeholders.
Autovest currently comprises of the following six operating businesses:
- SA Canopy Centre – an OEM approved aftermarket supplier of locally manufactured and imported fibre glass canopies through a network of 19 franchised outlets; and
- Rhino Linings – an OEM approved aftermarket supplier of locally developed spray-on bin linings for Light Commercial Vehicles through a network of more than 115 franchised outlets;
- Maxe – an OEM approved aftermarket supplier of locally manufactured stainless steel accessories;
- Kilber Products - Specialist manufacturer of exhaust systems and related products for the heavy duty truck and bus and offroad / earthmoving markets;
- StarTrek - Specialists in the design and manufacture of top quality fixed and detachable towbars;
- Bucco Canopies - One of South Africa’s largest manufacturers of GRP composite canopies and has a national presence through 24 fitment centres located around the country.
These six businesses immediately position Autovest as SA’s largest single supplier of OEM approved automotive accessories sold through the OEM dealerships, with national distribution through more than 130 franchised fitment centres and the only supplier that can supply a broad range of accessories.
The initial focus of Autovest will be on the automotive accessories market which the founding shareholders believe will grow at a rate in excess of the overall automotive industry and which will benefit tremendously from a consolidation of existing businesses into a focused business that can meet its client’s entire accessory needs.
